Sue Leonard of the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce presented the Village Board with the chamber's 2024 marketing milestones and a marketing plan for 2025.
Leonard reported the chamber's digital campaigns produced roughly 6.17 million impressions across Google search and display with 123,000 clicks (about a 1.99% click-through rate). For 2024 the chamber reported room-tax collections of $404,657.29 (an 11.18% increase year over year) and estimated total visitor spending of $45.2 million in the county. Leonard also provided venue-level visitation metrics (for example: Lake Hallie Pickleball at Gower showed 8.9K visits and a 212.3% year-over-year increase in that location's visits).
The chamber outlined 2025 event and advertising plans including support for a Pickleball tournament (Travel Wisconsin Ready Set Go grant awarded $10,000 with $5,000 toward the event bid fee), participation in the PPA Challenger Series July 24-27, 2025, and continued digital and connected-TV advertising targeted to the Twin Cities and Chicago suburbs. The presentation noted maintaining a Placer.ai subscription to track visitor analytics and continued group and sports marketing outreach to hoteliers and event prospects.
The Board did not take formal action on the presentation; Leonard's report was entered into the record for planning and budget consideration ahead of 2025 events and advertising decisions.
