Ignite Idaho updates council on expanding services, seeks help connecting sewer for building purchase

Tracy Jamieson, executive director of Ignite Idaho Family Resource Center, presented an overview of the organization’s services, growth and funding and asked the council to help secure a sewer connection at a prospective McCall building.
Jamieson described Ignite Idaho as a ‘‘one‑stop shop’’ offering childcare, behavioral health services, crisis response, parenting classes and after‑school programs across McCall, Donnelly, Cascade and New Meadows. "We have on average right now about 250 hours a month of people dropping in," she said, and added that in the past year the crisis response team handled about 120 calls in Valley County.
On funding, Jamieson said the organization bills insurance where possible, receives grant support (including an HRSA grant of $130,000 over four years and a more recent $135,000 award), private donations and local grants. She said Ignite Idaho is working on a capital campaign to purchase a building in McCall and identified sewer connection as a critical infrastructure need for that site.
Councilors praised the organization’s reach and offered to help; the clerk and mayor suggested the council could provide a letter of support and explore municipal assistance to secure sewer service. Jamieson also noted partnerships with Central District Health, Boise State for data collection, and community groups that support program delivery.
Jamieson’s presentation did not result in a formal council action at the meeting, but members encouraged staff to coordinate with Ignite Idaho on next steps.
