County liaisons report jobs, HHS director interviews and plans to record Board meetings

County Commissioner Rick Greene told the Planning Commission that two businesses — Kendall Howard (expanding) and a siding company moving to North Branch — would bring more than 200 jobs to Chisago County. Greene also said interviews for the Health and Human Services director position would take place the following week.
Commissioner Dan Dahlberg announced that County Board meetings will be recorded and made available on the county website, and said the county might later expand recordings to other boards and commissions. Dahlberg also relayed a constituent complaint that the county's shipping-container regulations are too restrictive and that the required Interim Use Permit (IUP) is too costly; no policy action was taken at this meeting.
