DNR seeks public input on Chisago County lake management plans before March 31

The DNR invited public input on updates to fisheries management plans for six Chisago County lakes; the Policy Team was told comments should be submitted to Matt Ward by March 31.
Madelyn Kinny told the Team that Minnesota DNR fisheries staff are encouraging local residents to provide input on proposed updates to lake management plans for Goose, Horseshoe, Kroon, Little, North Center and West Rush lakes.
She said members of the public have until March 31 to call or email the area fisheries office and that comments can be directed to Matt Ward at matt.ward@state.mn.us. The Team was urged to share the notice with local stakeholders so area fisheries teams will consider local observations and preferences when developing updated management plans.
The notice is part of scheduled DNR plan updates for the listed lakes. Residents with questions about species management or lake-specific objectives should contact the area fisheries office before the stated deadline.
