The Planning Commission discussed which parts of Chisago County's ordinances to ask the Lower St. Croix Watershed Partnership (LSCWP) to review. Commissioner Chris DuBose said some watershed districts have been "heavy-handed" and urged exploring less restrictive means to improve water quality. Commissioners agreed the LSCWP should attend a work session and reached consensus to postpone that item to the April 16, 2026 work session pending the partnership's availability.
Land Services Coordinator Beth Gervais said LSCWP representatives would be asked to focus on ordinance sections identified by the Commission; no formal ordinance changes were proposed at the March 5 meeting. The item was moved to a future work session to allow staff and the partnership time to prepare materials.
