Madelyn Kinny told the Policy Team that the Minnesota Department of Health has approved Part 1 of the City of Stacy's wellhead protection plan amendment, which covers the delineation of the wellhead protection area, the drinking water supply management area boundary, and a vulnerability assessment.
"A Public Information Meeting has been scheduled for March 12, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lent Town Hall (33155 Hemingway Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079) to discuss issues and concerns with this portion of the plan amendment," Kinny said. The meeting is intended to solicit public questions and comments on the Part 1 approval and related maps and assessments.
The amendment process described to the Team is part of routine steps to protect municipal drinking-water supply wells; attendees at the public meeting can expect maps of the delineated protection area and discussion of management-area boundaries. The Team will review any feedback or updates at its next meeting in May.
