Chisago County approves boardroom AV upgrade and tightens meeting recording policy

On March 4, 2026 the Chisago County Board approved the highest-amount proposal from iSpace Environments to add a third camera to the boardroom audio-visual system and adopted a revised Chisago County Recording Meeting Policy with specific edits. The adopted edits remove work sessions from the recording requirement, exclude Citizens Forum from recording and require that the board announce Citizens Forum will not be recorded at each meeting.
The board directed that recordings be posted on the county website as view-only files that cannot be shared or downloaded, that only regular board meetings be recorded, and that recordings be retained for one year. The motion carried unanimously.
