Chisago County board confirms Isanti–Chisago Joint County Drainage Authority for Judicial Ditch 4

The Chisago County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 26/0304-1 on March 4, 2026, to establish the Isanti and Chisago Joint County Drainage Authority for Judicial Ditch 4 and to confirm appointment of members from both counties. The resolution appoints Dan Dahlberg (District 5) and Richard Greene (District 3) as Chisago County’s initial members and cross-ratifies Isanti County’s initial appointments of Bill Berg, Todd Christensen and Kristi LaRowe.
The resolution states that because a majority of land benefited by JD 4 lies in Isanti County, Isanti County is designated the “majority” county under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 103E. The board directed that future Chisago County vacancies on the JDA be filled by the successor commissioner from the indicated district. The motion to adopt the resolution carried with all commissioners voting in favor.
