Planning commission meets on SALDO amendments; FTMSA signs off on sewage repairs

The township solicitor reported that the Planning Commission held a public meeting Nov. 19 to take comment on proposed amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO). Solicitor Falatovich advised the board that the township must advertise a public hearing in a paper of general circulation twice—first ad not less than 30 days before the hearing, and a second no less than seven days prior—if the board proceeds. Supervisors agreed to schedule the hearing after the first of the year.
On sewage matters, Kerry Jobe reported FTMSA (the local authority) had signed off on ICA agreements to correct grade 4 and 5 defects and to install a variable frequency drive (VFD). The board discussed the need for digital plan submissions related to an inquiry from a resident about Delmont’s proposed lateral conversion; Solicitor Falatovich asked resident Matt Rebitch to provide digital plans so the township can determine whether the change falls within DEP‑approved scope.
