Superintendent Greg Thornock told the Board he has been working with district staff, including Bill Hansen, Chandler Beckstrom and Business Administrator Jeremy Snell, to plan capital projects across the district. Items under consideration include new scoreboards and protective wall mats for the Tintic High School gym, design work on an air conditioning system, installation of previously purchased outdoor bleachers, and a potential sidewalk to connect the track with the sidewalk around the district office.
Thornock also said staff are looking at vendors for the equipment and that safety communications for the West Desert campuses are being coordinated with the county sheriff. No formal contracts for these planning-stage items were approved during the March 16 meeting; the Board approved several facility bids (bleachers, roofing, kitchen remodel) as separate motions during the action items portion of the meeting.
