Council asks for plans, attorney review and regular updates; no action taken at work session
Summary
At the close of the July 31 work session, staff and council members emphasized the need for a complete engineering submittal and an attorney opinion on private roads; owner agreed to regular updates and no formal votes were taken.
The work session concluded with the town engineer reiterating that technical questions about access, frontage and utilities require a complete plan and that the town attorney should be asked whether private roads are permissible under current code. Mayor Richard Sorensen and council members asked staff to withhold approval until those items are resolved.
Owner Steve Starks agreed to supply regular updates during the planning process. The work session did not include motions or votes on roads, utilities, replanting or pathway alignment; the issues were left for follow-up with staff, legal counsel and the tree committee as appropriate.
