The council authorized $39,477 for Bandit Striping to perform mastic application, crack sealing and seal coating on three blocks of 7500 E. Councilmember Bruce Ahlstrom explained the contractor had completed other projects for the town this summer, and the selected approach was less expensive than an overlay while improving pavement life.
Treasurer Melissa Knowles told the council that increased sales-tax revenue this year would allow for a budget amendment to cover additional road work. The motion to approve the Bandit Striping estimate passed 4–0 on a roll-call vote.
