Town Clerk Nancy Leigh briefed the Council on two near-term events and the Town's logistical plans. She said the Tactical Archery Challenge at Brian Head Resort (July 16–19) is expected to draw about 3,500 participants and roughly 7,000 people in total, with approximately 120 vendors expected to set up; the Town will provide shuttle service and implement road closures between the Mall and Giant Steps parking lot.
Leigh also reminded the Council that Brian Head Days is scheduled for July 24–25 and that volunteers were still being sought. Town Manager Bret Howser invited the Council to a Flag Dedication during Brian Head Days on Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the water wheel pump house (memorial park on the north end of Village Way Road). The Council discussed expected participation and Council attendance; Council Member Tidwell asked about participation expectations given there will be no meeting before the event.
