Salem Township supervisors on Oct. 16 approved two formal resolutions affecting regulation and intergovernmental cooperation.
Resolution No. 27-2024 amends fees for overweight-vehicle permits pursuant to Ordinance No. 01-2024; the board approved the resolution unanimously. Separately, the supervisors approved Resolution No. 28-2024, authorizing the Township to execute the First Amendment to a Consent Order and Agreement involving the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and several neighboring municipalities and authorities (including FTMSA, Penn Township, Monroeville and others). That resolution also passed unanimously and designates township representatives to execute the amendment on Salem's behalf.
Both resolutions were moved and seconded by the supervisors and recorded as unanimous votes in the minutes. The minutes do not list fee amounts or detailed amendment text; those documents are separate public records and are not included verbatim in the Oct. 16 minutes.
