At the Feb. 3 meeting Kent Lehr, the town lawyer, presented a proposed ordinance to set town meetings on the first Tuesday after the first Monday; the board approved first reading on a motion by Ken Carda, seconded by Brian Neumayer. The lawyer also presented a fences ordinance for consideration. A proposed cemetery ordinance to vacate an alley was tabled for further review.
Board members reviewed Ordinance 8-711 (dog ordinance) requiring dogs to be licensed by Jan. 31 or risk citation. The code enforcer requested an ordinance addressing camper use and resident compliance. The board set the Municipal Election for June 2, 2026; petition circulation begins Feb. 2 and petitions must be returned by Tuesday, March 24, 2026, by 5 p.m. A zoning ordinance discussion was tabled pending clarification on which streets will be designated Business or Commercial.
