Heather Morgan delivered the Pratt County economic development update at the May 18 meeting and said the county is seeking confirmations from smaller communities to participate in its Neighborhood Revitalization Program, with a June 1 deadline for responses. She told commissioners staff can provide draft example documents to help communities complete participation paperwork and that she has offered to guide two local businesses through the county incentive process.
"A June 1 deadline for communities to confirm participation was set," Heather Morgan said during the update. Morgan also previewed the upcoming Pratt Area Economic Development Corp. meeting, where staff will launch small-group developer discussions tied to a housing incentive grant program and review progress on two outstanding PAEDC grant projects. The commissioners acknowledged the update and the outreach to local businesses but did not take an immediate action on incentives.
