Mercer County approves renewals and replacements for 9-1-1 and public-safety systems

On April 16 the Board approved multiple public-safety contracts and purchases. Resolution #2026-157 renewed annual maintenance of the Eventide Voice Recorder System with Interaction Insight Corp. for $13,773.00 (06/01/2026–05/31/2027), a $401 increase from the prior year; 911 Director Frank Jannetti advised the recorder “records every radio, voice, and action that occurs through the 911 dispatch.”
The board also approved a satellite service renewal for the command post with PEAKE for $6,144.60 (08/01/2026–07/31/2027), with costs split 50% from Hazmat Fund 250 and 50% from EMA Fund 100 (Resolution #2026-158). Resolution #2026-159 authorized purchase of a replacement HVAC unit and humidifier for the 9-1-1 computer room for $3,890.00 to be paid from 9-1-1 Fund 244. Separately, the Sheriff’s Office renewal of the SpyPoint camera subscription for $240.00 (05/08/2026–05/07/2027) and vehicle graphics purchases for two 2026 Ford Interceptors for $729.00 were approved (Resolutions #2026-160 and #2026-161); Sheriff Callahan advised the SpyPoint subscription supports the warrant team's camera use.
All listed public-safety resolutions were approved unanimously by the three commissioners. Funding sources for equipment and maintenance were identified in each resolution (9-1-1 Fund 244, Hazmat Fund 250, EMA Fund 100, Fund 322 for Sheriff equipment).
