Mercer County authorizes RFP and adopts housing rehabilitation guidebook and vendor verification policy

Mercer County's Regional Planning Commission asked the Board of Commissioners on April 16 to begin procurement for a countywide Housing Rehabilitation Professional Service Provider. Director Doniele Russell told the board the current contract expires in December and the commission wanted to start the procurement process. The board also adopted Resolution #2026-155 to implement a vendor verification policy as a corrective action identified in 2024, and Resolution #2026-156 to adopt the Mercer County Housing Rehabilitation Guidebook. The Guidebook will be updated yearly with HUD-adjusted HOME income limits as required for monitoring.
