The Mobile County Board of School Commissioners approved Action G-3 on July 27, authorizing a contract with Legacy Health to provide school-based and medical-bus nursing services. Staff told the board the contract total is $1,082,000 and that the funds will come from local sources.
"That total is 1,082,000, coming out of, local funds," said Mister Thragel during presentation of the item. A board member moved to approve Action G-3, and the chair then moved to approve G-3 through G-25 together; the board voted in favor and the motion carried.
Board members did not request further details about the funding split or service start date during the televised portion; staff indicated audits and additional presentations can be scheduled separately.
