Staff says Sawyer pipeline finished; county to support neighborhood revitalization rollout

A staff member reported that "the Sawyer pipeline is 100% installed," and said only the final service connection to gas providers remains before staff works with regulators to close the project.
"We met this morning with KGS," the staff member added, saying project accounting will be finalized and staff will work with the Kansas Corporation Commission to close the file. She told commissioners the ARPA funds used on the project have "pretty much been spent." Staff also said it will attend a Sawyer City Commission meeting to discuss the neighborhood revitalization program and that the Pratt Area Development Corporation (PADC) plans to unveil a housing incentive grant in the coming weeks. Staff said the neighborhood revitalization work is expected to take effect after July 1 and that materials are being scheduled to allow mailings before that date.
