The Human Resources Committee reported March 26 and the full board concurred with several personnel actions. The Prosecuting Attorney requested approval to hire an Investigator at the top of the pay scale due to the candidate’s 24 years of experience; the board approved hiring the Investigator at a three-year rate. Separately, a qualified candidate for Chief Deputy Clerk/Register of Deeds (Grade 10) was recommended for year 3 pay scale and the board authorized filling the vacancy at that rate.
The committee also introduced Resolution 2026-3 to declare April 12–18, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Clinton County; the board approved the resolution. JL HR Consulting was authorized for use as determined necessary; committee/commission appointments were referred back to the Planning Commission for participation by newly appointed members.
