Board authorizes RFP for jail booking-area design and seeks owner's representative

Facility and Fleet Services Director Rob Wooten presented a proposed Request for Proposals to develop updated program and schematic designs and construction cost estimates for the Clinton County Jail booking area. The committee reviewed the scope, which focuses on booking-area design, and recommended authorizing the RFP for architecture and engineering services.
Separately, the committee recommended directing Administration to develop an RFP for an Owner’s Representative to protect county interests and assist with project management; the board concurred and will consider the Owner’s Representative contract in April. No construction contract was authorized at this meeting—only design and owner-representative procurement steps were directed.
