At its April 14, 2026 meeting, the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners approved personnel actions in the sheriff’s office including a step raise for Deputy Stone Terhune to Deputy I G 3 at a base rate of $33.33 per hour effective April 5, 2026, and the hire of Kyle Parks as a full-time permanent Deputy I G 2 at $32.37 per hour effective April 14, 2026. The board also approved a $104 monthly cell-phone per diem for Parks. (Motions recorded as moved by Richard Tysdal and seconded by Brandon Flanagan.)
Sheriff Brian Dean reported estimated federal prisoner revenue for 2026 as $519,931.89 and the commission approved a motion allowing the sheriff to provide meals at no cost to culinary students from Boxelder Job Corps. The meeting record also shows an Information Systems & Technology cell-phone per diem of $75.00 approved for Shawnee Lafferty effective April 13, 2026.
