Selectman G. Harrington opened the Dec. 1 meeting and added "Deer overpopulation" to the agenda after a resident contacted Selectman R. Hemenway about local deer numbers.
Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb reported staff research showed 335 antlerless deer permits were issued for the area and that at least ten deer were harvested in Winter Harbor this season. The board recorded those figures for consideration; no formal policy or directive was adopted during the meeting.
