Board adopts four district policies after second reading with no discussion

On Aug. 22 the Stevenson-Carson School District Board approved the second reading and adopted Policies 2415, 3205, 3207 and 6702. The items were presented as a second reading with "no discussion" noted in the minutes; the board subsequently moved to adopt all four policies by motion and vote.
The motions were moved and seconded by board members (Jon Paul Anderson moved the adoption; Mitch Engel and others seconded motions at various points), and each adoption was recorded as "the motion carried." The minutes do not include the full text of the policies or background discussion; district policy files will contain the operative language and effective dates.
