At its June 10, 2025 meeting, the Clinton County Material Management Planning Committee discussed drafting options for section three of the county Materials Management Plan (MMP), which addresses the siting process for facilities and services covered by the plan. Jamie Zawila, president of GT Environmental and the county's MMP consultant, presented examples the committee could use when crafting the section and Danni Schaust (GT Environmental) reviewed potential edits prompted by comments from Granger Waste Services.
The committee agreed it needed more time for detailed review and set two additional meetings dedicated to section three: May 26, 2026 and June 9, 2026. Committee members stated a goal of approving an MMP draft for public comment on July 14, 2026. The minutes record those dates as written in the meeting record; the minutes also list the meeting date as June 10, 2025, which creates an internal chronology inconsistency in the record between the meeting date and the scheduled review dates that appear to fall in 2026. The committee did not record a formal vote on specific language at this meeting; work on section three will continue at the dedicated review sessions.
