Darien board reviews condensed 2026–2031 strategic plan focused on four goals and new KPIs

"We went from the 7 goals to 4, and they're more streamlined," said Dr. Fedegen, outlining the intention to integrate the 'vision of the graduate' and instructional technology across the new goal structure. The plan also adds a public glossary and a feature to publish curriculum stage documents on Eduplanet to increase transparency.
Board members pushed for clearer prioritization and asked how the plan will produce measurable change. Administration emphasized the plan as a living document with annual reporting and revisions: implementation will include curriculum review cycles, common syllabi, a coherent MTSS framework, and protected instructional time for embedded professional learning.
Next steps include continued board feedback, refinement of OKRs and KPIs, and using the plan to guide departmental improvement and annual reporting.
