Board OKs two former-employee email access requests; asks legal review for third

Ken Clever, IT Director, presented three requests for access to former employees' email accounts: access by Rob Brandes to the account of Shannon Doak; access by Caitlin Carpajal to the account of Kaylee Carter; and access by Janet Feddickson to the account of Mark Stevenson for information potentially related to Environmental Health.
Commissioners supported the first two requests. Regarding the Mark Stevenson account, the Board discussed whether IT could locate and provide only the specific records needed rather than granting access to the entire mailbox because of potential litigation concerns; the Board directed Clever to consult Legal Counsel before proceeding. Commissioners also asked IT to prioritize development of a revised policy establishing a routine process for handling employee email accounts after separation.
