Winhall starts short-term rental administration; GovOS contract in effect

The Selectboard confirmed that GovOS has executed a contract to administer the town’s short-term rental (STR) ordinance and that Christie Boswell has begun work as STR Administrator. Town officials noted GovOS estimated about 150 STRs in Winhall, and the minutes record the caveat “most likely many more.”
Town Clerk Elizabeth Grant told the board she could help locate septic permit information for properties but would charge $25 per hour for that service. The board reiterated that, per the ordinance, STR owners are expected to hire attorneys or title researchers to assemble required documentation rather than ask town employees or elected officials to perform that work.
