The Town of Winhall Selectboard unanimously awarded Hunter Excavating the contract to install a pipe-arch culvert on French Hollow Road for $290,000, selecting that bid over AS Clark & Sons’ $298,400 concrete culvert proposal.
The board also awarded the town paving contract to Fuller Sand & Gravel for $671,000. The motion included cold-planing work estimated at $1.75 per square yard—about $30,000—to cover Old Town Road; another bidder, Pike Industries, submitted a higher bid of $948,809.50. The Selectboard recorded that Hunter Excavating would begin work on the South Road culvert on July 7.
