Chief Tienken presented the police department’s June activity report to the Selectboard on July 2. The report included traffic tickets and warnings, vehicle accidents, property-watch assignments, alarms, animal-control matters and medical and agency assists occurring in Winhall and near Stratton Mountain Resort.
The minutes record that four Winhall officers attended a training session in Manchester. Officer Tatarek is on board with the department and is scheduled to attend the Police Academy on August 1. The chief also noted a new Ford cruiser is in the procurement pipeline. Arrests reported in June included an excessive-speed arrest, two DUI arrests, and one domestic-assault arrest; the minutes do not provide names or case numbers.
The board did not record any formal action on the police report but accepted the report as part of the meeting record.
