Council members approved a zoning map amendment and a related final plat to allow the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce to build a new facility on approximately 5.001 acres on Hall and Lake Drive.
City staff described the conceptual plan as an "18,000 square foot office building designated for the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, which is, to be used for their office space and visitor center and, meeting area for hosting community events," and noted the planning and zoning commission unanimously recommended approval prior to council action. The council opened the public hearing on the rezoning item, heard no public comments, and then approved the ordinance and the final plat (the final plat was approved subject to the single condition noted in the planning commission recommendation).
