The county clerk presented the Parker County clerk's FY26 archival and records-preservation plan and recommended continuing the $10 indexing fee. The plan calls for a contract with TerraLogic for $85,000 to scan and index civil and criminal records and a contract with eDOC Tech for $60,000; the clerk noted an earlier, already approved contract with Fiddler Technologies for $214,000 with ongoing maintenance estimated at $119,000 per year.
The clerk explained that funding for these projects comes from special/dedicated fees (recording, real-property filings and related charges) and that salaries for several positions are paid from those funds. The clerk recommended approving the plan and continuing the $10 fee that supports the archival effort.
The court moved and approved the archival plan; the clerk will continue projects already in progress (plat indexing, a large imaging project) and carry forward remaining rollovers. The court recorded the approval for the record.
