Judge presses for court coordinator pay parity; court approves salary adjustment

Treasurer/HR Becky McCullough explained the timing: the prior increase was implemented after the budget cycle and used part-time funds as a partial subsidy; no new certification or position requirement had been introduced. The judge and other court members discussed the 2018–19 parity decision and whether the ad hoc adjustments departed from that policy.
After discussion and a motion to adjust salaries for the affected coordinators, the court approved the parity adjustment. County staff said the change would cost roughly $15,000 on the salaries line (and the summary ledger was updated during the meeting). The court asked staff to incorporate the adjustment into the general-fund summary and to provide clearer communication practices in future budget cycles to avoid last-minute disparities.
