The applicant, Ryan Streff of Buel Consulting (speaker 12), asked the board to modify Condition 5 to permit up to three equipment shelters—typical prefab shelters up to 15×20 feet—so future carriers could co‑locate without needing separate buildings.
"If we're able to at least go up to, you know, a minimum of 3 shelters ... up to 15 by 20 feet," Streff said, arguing the change preserves flexibility and supports co‑location. Planning staff and the board noted the requested shelters would remain inside the fenced lease area and would not expand the tower's overall footprint. The board amended Condition 5 accordingly and approved CUP 500, noting the tower was below the FAA 200‑foot threshold and that an airport study indicated no lighting requirement at present. The motion carried by voice vote.
