Legislature authorizes opioid settlement participation and funds MAT in jail from settlement proceeds

Separately, the Legislature authorized a contract between Yates County Community Services and the Yates County Sheriff's Office using opioid settlement funds to provide Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) for inmates; that contract runs January 1 through December 31, 2026, for an amount not to exceed $36,000. The resolution text states, "the funds of $36,000 were received from various Opioid Settlements." The actions authorize execution of participation agreements and the MAT contract, but do not describe program vendor details beyond the Sheriff's Office contract authorization.
