McKinley told the committee that restoring SNAP-Ed statewide would require approximately $20 million annually, according to the extension’s advocacy. She also reported the extension’s 2026–2028 strategic plan is being finalized and should be completed in March or April. Committee members asked about the scope of services and the extension said it will continue education and seek alternative funding sources.
