After a staff presentation by April Norton and public comment from the developer and several residents, the joint body directed the Jackson/Teton County Housing Authority to extend the Development Agreement timeline on the 90 Virginian Lane Affordable Workforce Housing Development to May 4, 2026.
Shannon Cox Baker spoke on behalf of Pennrose, the developer. Public commenters included Bob Weiss, Ariel Kazunas, Blanca Moia, Jean Day, Brandon Dimcheff, Mark Macedonio, Clare Stumpf, Julien Hass, Larry Thal, and Kelsey Wotzka. On behalf of the Town, Council member Jonathan Schechter moved and Kevin Regan seconded a motion to extend the timeline and to direct staff to prepare the suite of documents for review and consideration at the May Monthly Joint Meeting; Mayor Arne Jorgensen called the vote and the motion carried with all in favor. On behalf of the County, Commissioner Natalia Macker moved and Len Carlman seconded the same directive; Chair Mark Newcomb called the vote and it passed unanimously.
The councils recorded no abstentions; meeting minutes show the extension date set to May 4, 2026 and indicate staff will prepare required documents ahead of the next joint meeting.
