On the consulting engagement, the chair described the contract as a one-year review of 2025 accounting procedures at an hourly rate between $125 and $225; a public commenter asked whether there is a maximum total for that contract. Officials replied that the contract includes specific deliverables but the excerpted meeting discussion did not show a not-to-exceed dollar cap.
"The purpose of this review is to ensure the fundamental practices remain accurate, efficient, and compliant," the chair said, describing why the finance director requested the review.
