Company outlines 59.2-mile buried fiber route that would pass through Porter

Three representatives from Fidium Consolidated Commission—Jason Goodnight, Chris Runnels and Kerry Wiggins—appeared before the Board to present plans for a buried fiber network extending 59.2 miles from Pryor to Muskogee. The planned route would pass through the Town of Porter limits on 413th East Avenue between E. 191st Street and Derby Avenue; the company provided the Board copies of the project plans.
Mayor Steve Dickey said the Board will examine the plans and consult with the Town attorney before taking action. No permit, easement or agreement was requested or approved at the Dec. 4 meeting; the presentation was informational and the Board deferred further consideration pending legal review and cost/impact analysis.
