Absent residents allowed to pay high water bill under existing payment guidelines
Summary
Ernest and Audrey Faulkner were absent from the Nov. 6 meeting but the board approved allowing them to pay their high water bill according to late/past-due guidelines established at the September meeting after chairman said the high bill resulted from a hose left on and could not be covered by insurance.
Chairman Steve Dickey reported that Ernest and Audrey Faulkner were not present but had a high water bill they had hoped to cover through insurance. Dickey told trustees he believed the high bill was not due to a leak but rather that a water hose had been left on; the Faulkners therefore could not use insurance to cover the charge.
Chairman Dickey moved to allow the Faulkners to pay the bill under the late/past-due payment guidelines set at the board’s September meeting. Norma Meyer seconded the motion; trustees Ryan Moore, Steve Dickey, Norma Meyer and Kevin Walker voted yes and the motion carried. The minutes note the Faulkners were not in attendance to speak in person.
