Kimberly said partners need early confirmation because event production is their livelihood. "Our partners at Splash Festivals have said, if you don't intend to keep the event in October... then they need to know in January," Kimberly told the council.
Councilors asked staff to present alternative months and the option of combining the arts festival with other community events; staff said it will recast options and return to a future work session so partners can be informed. No final decision was made during the work session.
