Blaine County officials announced a State/Local Project Development Agreement at the May 26 meeting that provides more than $3 million in funding to advance planned improvements to Gannett Road.
Road & Bridge Manager Steve Thompson and Commissioner Muffy Davis described the award and explained the project will begin with federally required pre‑engineering and environmental review and proceed to design and phased construction as funding allows. The planned work will begin at the southern end of Gannett Road near Highway 20 and progress northward as project phases are funded.
County staff framed the funding as a significant step for priority infrastructure. The Board noted the importance of securing grant funding to advance the county’s transportation priorities and requested coordination as design and environmental review proceed.
