During unfinished business, CM Pete Martin said about $10,000 has been spent on a negotiator and asked the council to approve an additional $5,000 to continue union-contract negotiations. Martin framed the request as necessary to finish the process and asked for council approval to continue funding negotiations.
CM Dan Thomas asked for an invoice that details how the existing funds were spent before consenting to another appropriation. Martin said he did not yet have that invoice. The council agreed they wanted to see the current accounting and the status of negotiations before approving further expenditure.
