The Floyd County Council approved several advertised appropriations at its Sept. 9 meeting. CFO Stan Heil presented requests including a $20,000 appropriation from the Edwardsville School TIF Fund for professional services, $85,000 for Commissioners’ insurance and advertising, a $241,228 bond payment from the Cumulative Capital Development Fund, and a $500,000 allocation from Commissioner Grant funds for Bridge 51.
Heil explained these requests are part of routine budget management and capital planning; motions to approve the listed items were moved by councilors and carried unanimously. The Edwardsville TIF Fund balance was recorded at $147,170.22; the Council moved each appropriation “as advertised.”
