Carlin says RTC funds to pay for repaving near fire station; TA Bridal Plaza and Love’s truckstop expected to raise traffic

Richard Braithwaite, city manager for the City of Carlin, told the RTC the city has not yet spent its RTC funds because the projects remain in engineering. He said the funds are likely to pay about one-third of repaving and improvements on three streets around the city’s fire department and that one of those roads is currently unpaved.
Braithwaite described nearby private development: Pine West Development has broken ground on a TA Bridal Plaza site and is putting in drainage infrastructure per NDOT requirements; Love's truckstop is in final plan review and could begin construction soon. He warned these developments "will certainly increase traffic count on that intersection" and requested possible assistance for traffic-control signals, saying "we may want support, for some traffic control lights."
