The board approved a liquor catering license for Old Timey Ice Cream LLC at 232 Spring Creek Parkway after a review by legal and the sheriff's office concluded there were no regulatory issues.
Laura Osland, executive director of the PACE Coalition, told commissioners she supports local businesses but urged clarity on whether the license permits on-premise or off-premise sales, how open-container laws will be enforced, and what training and oversight food-truck vendors will have. "Are people going to be required to finish their drinks before they leave?" she asked, noting open-container rules and liability concerns.
Owner Jennifer Moriali said she has a temporary license and has been serving alcohol since May, has completed ServSafe training for responsible liquor sales, and will only serve alcohol-containing menu items to customers who are 21 and can provide proof of age. "Alcohol sales are never going to be a primary thing that we do at our trailer," Moriali said, and she emphasized compliance with health department requirements and open-container law.
After questions from commissioners and confirmation that the sheriff's office and legal staff found no code issues, the board voted to approve the license by voice vote.
