Elko County planning commission tables Lamoille Ridge rezoning after residents cite water and road concerns

Staff clarified that NDWR governs parceling and that developers must dedicate or purchase 2 acre‑feet per parcel in the basin, but commenters said basin recharge, septic feasibility and cumulative infrastructure costs needed independent review.
Several residents asked that the commission delay action until the record included a set of letters and technical attachments they said were omitted from packets; a caller identified in the record as Jesse Barr urged tabling until the commission had the full materials and time to review them. Commissioners agreed and moved to table application 24‑2000‑007 so staff and the applicant can respond to outstanding documents and questions at a later hearing.
