WellSpan Health given county approval to run GO Lancaster scavenger-hunt program in county parks

The board approved a memorandum of understanding permitting WellSpan Health, working with the Library System of Lancaster County, to conduct the GO Lancaster 2026 program — an outdoor scavenger-hunt using Lancaster County Central Park and the Lancaster County Junction Trail — from June 1 through Sept. 1, 2026. The minutes state there is no cost to the county for the program and authorized County Administrator Lawrence M. George to sign the MOU.
Commissioners Ray D’Agostino and Joshua G. Parsons voted to approve the MOU; Commissioner Yoder was recorded as absent. The minutes do not record additional operational details such as permits, insurance, or staffing responsibilities beyond the authorization to execute the agreement.
