Lancaster County authorizes DCNR grant application and MOUs for Reigart’s Landing paddle launch
Summary
The board authorized submission of a $60,000 DCNR grant application and approved an MOU and grant management agreement with the Conestoga River Club to design, install and maintain a paddle craft launch at Reigart’s Landing in Lancaster County Central Park.
Commissioner Joshua G. Parsons moved and Commissioner Ray D’Agostino seconded a motion authorizing General Services to pursue a paddle craft launch at Reigart’s Landing near Strawberry Street Bridge in Lancaster County Central Park. The board approved submitting a $60,000 grant application to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Park Rehabilitation and Development program, entering a memorandum of understanding with the Conestoga River Club for design, installation and indefinite maintenance, and entering a grant management agreement to allow the Club to manage the DCNR grant.
The motion passed with Commissioners D’Agostino and Parsons voting yes and Commissioner Yoder absent. The minutes record the Conestoga River Club as the partner and note authorization for General Services to proceed with grant submittal and agreements.
